Position Summary
The GM Caribbean Maintenance shall assist the Director of Maintenance with ensuring compliance with regulations and a high level of safety, quality control and efficiency within the maintenance department in the USVI.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct complex inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Provide Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support to minimize downtime and ensure rapid resolution of maintenance issues.
• Maintain aircraft cleanliness and prevent corrosion, ensuring readiness for operation in harsh environments.
• Mentor and assist maintenance personnel in proper procedures, methods, and best practices across all tasks.
• Lead training programs for maintenance staff, ensuring continuous development and adherence to industry standards.
• Supervise maintenance activities, including inspections, overhauls, modifications, and repairs of aircraft structures, engines, and components.
• Accurately and promptly complete work orders, sign-offs, and required documentation.
• Ensure proper allocation and tracking of parts to relevant work orders.
• Assist with tracking and maintaining compliance for ongoing maintenance tasks.
• Provide on-call maintenance support as needed to ensure continued aircraft readiness.
• Oversee timely return-to-service processes to minimize aircraft downtime.
• Ensure the hangar and ramp areas maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Confirm parts availability and manage procurement to support scheduled maintenance projects.
• Oversee the management and organization of all spare parts and tooling on-site to ensure operational efficiency.
Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $100-$115K annually plus health care benefits along with moving and housing assistance. The minimum commitment for this role is 2 years.
